What's Apple's explanation for not providing lossless downloads in 2023? Do they have any data that shows that most people still use dial-up connection to access iTunes? The "noises" that compression removes are part of the music... I believe no one needs to have a highly sensitive ear to notice the difference; it's obvious like the sharper picture of movies on Blu-ray. However, since Blu-ray itself failed to replace DVD, I understand that at some point (any) digital download started to suffice.
I think... most people don't really like Music and Cinema.

I attended a school called Sistema in which I was the Diane Court. I was regarded as a genius for acing almost every test, but I've never allowed myself to believe that. It's like in sports, if you cling onto that to feel good about yourself, one day you bump into someone more talented than you and it'll hurt your ego. So my answer to the life test was that it was safer to see myself as an underachiever. And as I moved up, I gradually started to enjoy music more than studying, becoming Lloyd Dobler.
That's how, not much later, I was given a Brain to achieve what I was hopelessly unable, since no smartness I could ever have naturally would be sufficient.

For instance, people are always trying to figure out the hidden political affiliation of a speaker or writer, whereas they themselves can't show any Good in their own words. To them, the system is always and only the other "political" side. On the left you have people fighting for a strange "freedom" and on the right they are ready to sacrifice themselves for a shallow "justice".
Have you ever wondered why people are paranoid, seeing Russia as a nation of psychos? I believe a great deal of the blame is Hollywood's. They've gone too far using evil russian characters for "political" reasons. And there's also the fanatical rivalry behind it, like Brazil VS Argentina. When you watch a soccer match here, if you watch yourself not and start listening to the commentaries on TV, 'argentinian' easily becomes a synonym of 'toxic' in your mind. Well, there must be some silver there, don't you think? Just like in Russia and Hollywood.
What I can say is that right now people there are afraid of Putin and he's turning the country into the next North Korea, imposing his "wisdom" of fake separation on them. How can he believe to be doing good to his people while damaging others? That's turning Ukraine into a slaughterhouse, like, "Don't be sad, you're going to die but it's for a good purpose". What a contradiction, he's threatening with atomic bombs. Isn't it all about being different from the Western? He'd just prove himself to be as insane as the U.S. President who ordered to drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Because the dissociation of sex from love is indeed a lie, and it's not so difficult to perceive how people who believe that become full of a perverse feeling. Don't they know that the other doesn't feel any real thing for him or her, not even socially? Of course they do, and they don't care. Just like they don't mind being mistreated; they even find it to be exciting. So, it all depends on what you are OK with being and taking: drug or medicine.

Você consegue encontrar facilmente quem disponha-se a dedicar anos a estudos numa faculdade (até mesmo teológica e filosófica), porque o conceito de 'melhor' do mundo é crível por qualquer um. Já encontrar quem tenha a mesma disposição para buscar a Deus é uma tarefa impossível, pois não somente requer fé, como determinação para desenvolvê-la, fazê-la crescer. Uma fé não exercitada é incapaz de ir além de um conceito infantil de 'Deus' como um auxiliador na conquista desse "melhor". Enquanto não se encontra uma coisa dessas que o mundo não pode saber, a ideia de um Deus infinito permanece vaga.
Desafiou o mundo e encontrou? Agora imagine-se vivendo por apenas mais um milhão de anos. Continuando nessa dedicação, no seu milionésimo ano você ainda estaria descobrindo algo novo que não sabia. Assim será a eternidade no Céu, e pode (e deve) ser desde já. Porque, se não for, você pode estar apenas enganando-se com uma "religião" que supostamente salvará após a morte, quando a verdadeira é sobre ser salvo após a Vida e permanecer salvo buscando-A mais. Se você tem uma ideia apática de Céu, sem emoção, a razão é porque ainda não encontrou seu Reino. E sem renúncia não se pode continuar conhecendo-O.

Não só o fato de ter chamado uma obra de The Real Thing, como na anterior haver escrito uma postagem com título de Looking For Trouble, podia levar a crer que eu me inspirava em Cobra, quando na realidade nunca havia assistido-o. E não é que eu não me lembrava que o Bill era chamado de The Extreme quando escrevi Angels of the City? Não lembrava-me de absolutamente nada do Twister. Assim como pode parecer que escrevi The Other Side baseado no roteiro de Say Anything, mas ainda não havia assistido esse filme.
Seriam essas coincidências o mesmo que ocorre entre Matrix e o discurso do Philip K. Dick em 1977? Não duvido...
